have been spending an inordinate time on genealogy recently...+ not even my family...what does it mean? Perhaps, unlike art which is so subjective and out there...scouring the internet...reading census files, municipal records, etc. is like doing math..dull, but dependable + when you come up with the right answer quite rewarding. Or perhaps it's turning your mind off...had an epiphany of sorts: re: painting...used to resent the term "dumb painter"...didn't want to be one...but in truth, my best stuff ever is when I turn my mind off + let my instincts + my Bitch Muses loose...

I think I need a shrink...or a manager. An MBA, CEO, a dealer, someone...I just keep working, day after day...I look up + notice I'm drowning in art. It's getting ridiculous. I needs to get out more + figure out how to make this financially viable...perhaps instead of working on improving art skills + techniques it's time to take a biz course or something. Humbug.
