I love the feeling of "La Bonne Cuisine de Madame"!! I think beyond the feel good wet into wet colors there is the strong gesture of head and arm. The contrast revealing the gesture really is brilliant.
thanks wh + sv. I've consciously decided to go for colour. It's my fave thing about painting + I've gotten way too complacent boring tones and routine palette.
Beautiful color ... Makes me think of Bonnard, which I always like to do!

Great painting e. That hard outlined negative (positive) space top right behind Madame#s face and arm just gives it the right authority. Love it.
