+ for the feint-hearted, the fountain is in a dog park. A great dog park, an official dog park, in Outremount, not like our official Plateau "dog park" off that super-highway, Park Avenue, where there is not even a fence + the hours are very limited.

I have been + watching too much tv, with a fever,  not for the faint of heart. Overusing sick as a ...and wondering where that came from, actually. So went to Michael Quinion's fine blog and found...."There are several expressions of the form sick as a ..., that date from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Sick as a dog is actually the oldest of them, recorded from 1705; it is probably no more than an attempt to give force to a strongly worded statement of physical unhappiness. It was attached to a dog, I would guess, because dogs often seem to have been linked to things considered unpleasant or undesirable; down the years they have had an incredibly bad press, linguistically speaking (think of dog tired, dog in the manger, dog’s breakfast, go to the dogs, dog Latin — big dictionaries have long entries about all the ways that dog has been used in a negative sense)."to read all

also...anyone in Montreal/nearby know of a fabulous

boarding place for sweet Angus?  He's a very sensitive fellow + would be traumatized for life to be sent to a prison-type kennel.  Most of the fabulous boarding places are booked, natch,  as Quebec begins another one of it's ridiculous mob/mass rituals: "the construction holiday" the last 2 weeks of July wherein everyone takes off for vacation at the same time.   Including this year, stupidly, me.   Planning a trip west, spontaneously, if I can find a small, loving, rural haven for A.

Angy gets new toys...

Angy keeps stealing all the TO dogs toys (as he is so fast+sleek+clever) so we bought him some new toys that squeal when mouthed that he just loves.  And now I'm launching my "love+marriage series"...been doing them awhile, actually, but they never looked right.  Took me awhile to get the satisfying format.  Hope I don't get sued.   Also, I got "tagged"..explanation + 7 little known things  about me n + 7 cool blogs coming up.  Dog park awaits.
