which was a surprise to me.  But not apparently to all.  Well, I'm not sad to see him leave this station.  Sometimes there's nothing like a bit of CNN to catch up on the day's events but I too often find myself throwing something at the tv when LD's is ranting one of his rants.

In Treatment

Watched the first 2 segments of the new season of I.T. last night on HBO, Canada. Watched the entire series last year.  Altho disturbing + hardly escapist entertainment it was riveting + broke new ground in tvland.  Will give it another go this eve but I dunno.  There's something to be said for escapist entertainment these days.  Watching disturbed people telling their disturbing stories to an equally disturbed person is, well, disturbing.  Hardly sleep conducive.

I've been watching the newspapers to read reviews about Heartland, which began recently on CBC -- a "family" show, no autopsies, rapes, terrorists, etc. heartwarming with lots of beautiful Canadian landscape, written, produced, directed, starring beautiful Canadians...so week after week, nothing. None of the tv critics ever mention it, or recommend it or put it on their "watch this" list....so I googled stuff + I found, duh-huh.
